SURGICAL SERVICES
Barton Creek Animal Clinic can perform a wide variety of surgical procedures in our surgery suite. For specialty surgeries we call in a mobile boarded surgical specialist or can refer you to a surgical specialty hospital. Anesthesia
We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using state-of-the-art equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. Permanent Identification
BCAC offers AKC Reunite microchip identification. A microchip implant, about the size of a grain of rice, is placed under the skin of an animal to help lost pets quickly reunite with their owners. It includes lifetime registration. |
Radiology Services
Our on-site digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. We use a mobile ultrasound service for patients needing an ultrasound. Internal Medicine & Cardiology Consults
BCAC offers referrals to internal medicine and cardiology specialists who perform ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and help us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases. |
WELLNESS
Barton Creek Animal Clinic is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs. We recommend senior blood screening for most pets over the age of 8-9. We can also screen younger patients as needed.

General Hygiene
We do nail trims and express anal sacs. We also pull ear hair on those patients that are not so cooperative with groomers. We do not bathe or provide pet hair cuts. We do cat lion cuts for those that require full anesthesia or heavy sedation to accomplish it! Drop-Off Appointments
For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available. Once your pet has been seen we call you to go over diagnosis, treatment plan and discharge instructions. |
Laboratory
We utilize a commercial veterinary laboratory, Antech, for the majority of our diagnostics and can consult with their on staff specialists as needed. We do some cytology in house and are able to spot check glucose levels, and hemotocrits. Preventative Medicine
BCAC provides vaccinations specific to your pets needs and risks based on current vaccination protocols established by the Vaccine Council. We can also perform antibody titter testing. |

Barton Creek Animal Clinic offers dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing. Heartworm and Flea/Tick Control
BCAC can design a heartworm or flea/tick control program for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We sell and recommend Heartgard and Nexgard by B-I and Simparica Trio by Zoetis as our major parasite control products. For topical flea control on cats we use Revolution Plus. |
Dietary Counseling
BCAC will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. Pharmacy
