BCAC POLICIES
Appointments
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. We make a sincere attempt to see each client on time, however emergency cases always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Call (512) 327-8300 to schedule an appointment. You can also request a call back for an appointment by emailing us at info@bartoncreekanimalclinic.com
Drop-Off Appointments
For your convenience, drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet to the clinic and leave him/her with us for several hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time blocked off for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, a technician or doctor will give you a call to go over the exam findings, plan and to give you discharge instructions.
Appointment Arrival, Waiting and Exam Rooms
Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
Payments
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, and personal checks with ID.
Vaccination Requirements
For the safety of all animals in our care, we require for patients who are left with us to have up to date vaccinations.
Prescriptions
Requests for prescription refills must be made at least 24 hours in advance as they require review of a medical history, an update of the medical record and time to properly fill the prescription.
Medical Records
We regard medical records as important private information and record detailed information about our patients. Timely authorized request is needed for office staff to process information in the event there is a need for medical records transfer to or from the clinic. Large volumes of information should be either sent via a US mail, delivery service or hand delivered by a pet owner to avoid lengthy faxes. Requests for transfer of lengthy medical records sent from our office may be subject to a processing and mailing fee.
Privacy
We do not collect or give out any information to any third party vendors or internet businesses. No information will ever be disclosed to outside parties from us or our web site hosting company at www.ipage.com. It's that simple! We strictly adhere to this policy. Barton Creek Animal Clinic recognizes the importance of protecting the personal privacy of its clients, its patients and those individuals who simply visit our site.
